The Idea

Perpule 1Pay enables mobile app based self checkouts for retail stores that improves the shopping experience of customers and solves the problem of queues at checkout counters. Customers use our app to scan the barcodes, get all the offer and pricing information for the products and can also checkout and pay in the app itself. Customers use the app to discover stores and the available offers running, this ensures a good connect between the retail stores and the customers. The app also serves as a true omni-channel platform allowing customers to shop in store or get the same products online. Customer shopping activity (on the app & elsewhere) helps us generate lot of interesting analytics on customer shopping trends and since they login to our platform via social media, it helps us determine their interests better which in-turn helps design better offers and increase customer loyalty.

What is your Leadership Philosophy?

Leading by example is what we really believe in. Keeping the team motivated by showing them the real impact of their efforts and helping them maintain quality standards. We believe idea to execution should happen (in zero time) as quickly and smoothly as possible so that there is enough scope of trying new things & to keep innovating.

What made you take the entrepreneurial plunge?

The irresistible urge of doing things that add value to masses at large and building products that touch people’s life regularly is what made me an entrepreneur. However small or big (simple or complicated) the product be, the feeling of making it get used by people across the globe is what keeps me motivated.

What is unique about your team culture?

The openness, dedication (not looking at clock while building stuff!), similar likings (food), etc. are the basis of our team culture.

What brought you to Kstart?

The approach of grooming early stage startups to build stuff that disrupts & supporting the founders by and large all possible platforms is what brought us to KStart. KStart by concept is amazing & gives young founders like me the right platform to build a network & leverage it to build companies that scale & sustain.

Perpule 1Pay is a self-checkout, queue management, omni-channel engagement & payments platform for offline stores. The product is available to customers as a mobile application. Shoppers scan items they want to purchase and prepare their shopping cart. They can then make a payment through the app itself and avoid long lines at the checkout counters. The app also engages with the customer to provide information like ongoing offers and intelligent product recommendations. For retailers, the app provides a personal touchpoint to effectively engage with their customers using insights provided by Perpule.
