Padma is passionate about technology, entrepreneurship and global business. Previously, Padma was part of the executive leadership team at Cisco from March 2008 to September 2015. She joined Cisco in March 2008 as CTO, then co-led the worldwide engineering organization and served as the GM for Cisco Enterprise segment. Subsequently as the CTSO of Cisco, she helped shape the strategy to lead the company through a major business transformation. In her capacity as CTSO, Padma was responsible for the corporate technology and business strategy, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, Cisco venture investments, acquisition integration, strategic partnerships and long term technology initiatives. Currently, in addition the board of NextEV, Padma sits on the boards of Microsoft and Gap.

Why did you choose to be a part of the Kstart ecosystem?
Kstart will provide a unique setting for a co-mingling of people who can generate new ideas, evolve those into innovative business models and have insights into how to scale those business. This will be an exciting opportunity for business leaders like me to learn from the new entrepreneurs embarking on their mission, while being able to provide some guidance based on my own experiences in the business world. At a personal level, it fulfills my need to challenge the next generation of business leaders in India while providing some value-added mentorship to the enterprises that they will build.
